(select from poetry, novel, short story or other genre) The information will come from a variety of web resources where the student will learn about significant life events and historical context of the author's life. Research Project

Information	Partial Student does some research, provides the author's life span and background.	Adequate Student does research on an author, gives few details of the author's life.	Thorough Student does research on three authors and explains the authors' lives in detail, including childhood and important life events.
Historical Reference	Partial Vague historical references cited on the matrix	Adequate Accurate and historical events are detailed	Thorough Accurate historical events are detailed and connections are made to the authors' lives and / or works.
Works of Literature	Partial All three works are of the same genre (short story, novel, poetry, etc)	Adequate Two of the literature genres are represented	Thorough At least three literature genres are represented
