Comprehension	Excellent Project displays an extensive understanding of the characters, plot, and theme in the novel.	Good Project displays a clear understanding of the characters, plot, and theme in the novel.	Satisfactory Project displays a sufficient understanding of the characters, plot, and theme in the novel.	Fair Project displays a minimal understanding of the characters, plot, and theme in the novel.	Poor Project does not display an understanding of the characters, plot, and theme in the novel.
Creativity	Excellent Project has extremely creative and original ideas.	Good Project has several creative and original ideas.	Satisfactory Project has some creative and original ideas.	Fair Project has minimal creativity and original ideas.	Poor Project has little to no creative and original ideas.
Accuracy	Excellent A very detailed explanation of the scene is included and is free of errors.	Good A detailed explanation of the scene is included and is free of errors.	Satisfactory An adequate explanation of the scene is included and is free of errors.	Fair A simple explanation of the scene is included, but contains several errors.	Poor An explanation of the scene is not included.
Effort	Excellent Very informative; the audience learns intriguing ideas. Demonstrates clear and insightful understanding of the connection to the novel and work as a whole.	Good Shows time and thought went into the preparation and execution of the project.	Satisfactory Minimal evidence of preparation; simplistic execution of the project	Fair Very little evidence of time in the project. Minimum amount of effort in project.	Poor Virtually no time or effort in the project. Looks like a last ditch effort to turn something in.
Presentation	Excellent Students use a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation.	Good Students' voices are clear. Students pronounce most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation	Satisfactory Students' voices are clear but slightly too quiet and some audience members cannot hear the presentation.
