Used words from the question	Poor Student did not use any words from the question in their response. (The reader does not know what it is about.)	Fair Student used some words from the question.	Good Student used all the important words from the question. (The reader knows exactly what you are writing about.)
Stayed on topic	Poor Student is not writing about what they were asked to write about.	Fair Student started writing about the right topic, but then goes off topic.	Good Student stays on the topic the whole time.
Used details	Poor Student only has 1-2 details about the topic.	Fair Student has 3-4 details about the topic.	Good Student has 5 or more details about the topic.
