Appearance What the ad looks like.	Poor Student has developed an advertisement that contains some required elements but the layout is cluttered. It says, "Help me!"	Fair Student has developed an advertisement that contains all elements but has some clutter. It says, "Buy me?"	Good Student has developed an advertisement that contains all elements but avoids clutter. It says, "Buy me!"
Copy Printed text in advertisement.	Poor There is little or no information about the product, or persuasive language used.	Fair There is copy, however not enough persuasive language has been used.	Good There is both information about the product given and persuasive language used to appeal to the emotions of the reader.
Mechanics Accuracy of printed text, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.	Poor Ad contains multiple mechanical errors.	Fair Ad contains 2-5 mechanical errors.	Good Ad contains one or fewer mechanical errors.
Persuasive Techniques Propaganda/advertising tricks	Poor There has been an attempt at using a persuasive technique, but it is not clear which one is is.
