Rubric Criteria
	Exceeds Target 4 pts	Target 3 pts	Approaching Target 2 pts	Below Target 1 pts
Assignment Completeness	Exceeds Target All of items were attempted	Target Most of items were attempted.	Approaching Target Less than half of the items were attempted.	Below Target Almost none of the items were attempted.
Accuracy	Exceeds Target All of the student's responses are correct.	Target Most of the student's responses are correct.	Approaching Target Some of the student's responses are correct.	Below Target Many of the student's responses are incorrect.
Spelling	Exceeds Target Student work has no spelling errors.	Target Student work has one or two spelling errors.	Approaching Target Student work has three or four spelling errors.	Below Target Student work has more than five spelling errors.
Effort	Exceeds Target All of the student responses are appropriate and meaningful.	Target Most of the student responses are appropriate and meaningful.	Approaching Target Some of the student responses are appropriate and meaningful.	Below Target Many of the student responses are inappropriate.
Legibility	Exceeds Target Legible handwriting, typing, or printing ..	Target Marginally legible handwriting, typing, or printing.	Approaching Target Writing was not legible in places.	Below Target Writing was not legible.
