Active Involvement	Excellent Student is constantly engaged in the class work. Student does not need reminders to stay on task.	Above Average Student is often engaged in the class work. Student could participate more in classwork, but is never causing a distraction.	Average Student is often engaged in the activity. Student needs a reminder to get back on task and can be distracting to teacher and classmates.	Poor Student is not involved with the class activity. Student needs constant reminders to get back on task. Student is distracting to the class as a whole.	Student/Teacher Score
Preparation	Excellent Student is ready with required materials for the class. Begins work before the bell rings.	Above Average Student is usually ready with required materials for the class. Begins work when the bell rings.	Average Student often has some materials. Students begin work after late bell rings.	Poor Student did not bring any materials to class and has to borrow everything. Student does not begin work.	Student/Teacher Score
Attendence	Excellent Student is always in class and on time. Student stays for the entire duration of the class time.	Above Average Student attends most classes. Student brings a note when absent and stays for the duration of the class time.	Average Student is often in class. Student is close to on time or leaves once for a short emergency (bathroom, drink, nurse).	Poor Student does not come to class or is significantly late. Student leaves the room often for bathroom, drink, or to see the nurse.	Student/Teacher Score
