Objective	Poor The purpose of the lab or the question to be answered during the lab is erroneous or irrelevant.	Fair The purpose of the lab or the question to be answered during the lab is partially identified, and is stated in a somewhat unclear manner.	Good The purpose of the lab or the question to be answered during the lab is clearly identified and stated.
Hypothesis	Poor No hypothesis has been stated.	Fair Hypothesis appears to be flawed logic.	Good Hypothesized relationship between the variables and the predicted results is clear and reasonable based on what has been studied.
Participation	Poor Minimal	Fair Focus was lost several times.	Good Used time in lab well with attention on the experiment.
Materials	Poor Many materials where either not describe or described inaccurately.	Fair Some materials where not included in the report but where used in the lab.	Good All materials and set-up clearly defined and drawn.
Data	Poor Inaccurate data.	Fair Some information missing and/or titles.	Good Professional looking and accurate tables and graphs labeled and titled.
Calculations	Poor Missing.	Fair Some calculations where missing or mislabeled.	Good All calculations are shown and the results are properly labeled. Error analysis included.
Conclusions	Poor Report shows little effort and reflection.	Fair Some conclusions where erroneous.	Good Conclusions include whether the findings supported the hypothesis, sources of error, and what was the knowledge gained from the experiment.
Safety	Poor No safety procedures included in report.	Fair Some safety procedures missing.	Good Lab is carried out with full attention to relevant safety procedures. The set-up, and tear-down posed no safety threat to any individual or equipment.
