Proficient/Meeting Objective
The student developed a creative drawing or landscape drawing in colored pencil that included a foreground, middle ground and background. Light source is somewhat used and depth is somewhat shown by drawing going from dark to light and larger to smaller.
Developing/Partially Meeting Object
The student developed a creative drawing or landscape drawing in colored pencil that included a foreground, middle ground and background. Lights source is not used and depth is not shown by drawing going from dark to light and larger to smaller.
Does Not Meet Objective
The student developed a creative drawing or landscape drawing in colored pencil but did not include a foreground, middle ground and background. Light source is not used and depth is not shown by drawing going from dark to light and larger to smaller.

Developing Craft/Skills
Advanced/Exceeding Objective
The landscape is clearly drawn with a foreground, middle ground and background. The student used all six of compositional principles to create the illusion of space. (Overlapping, size, placement on the surface, detail color, and value)
Proficient/Meeting Objective
The landscape is clearly drawn with a foreground, middle ground and background. Only four of the six compositional principles are used.
(Overlapping, size, placement on the surface, detail color, and value)
Developing/Partially Meeting Object
The landscape is drawn with a foreground and background but no middle ground is visible. Images are not larger in the front and getting smaller and thinner as it goes to the background. Only two of the six compositional principles are used.(Overlapping, size, placement on the surface, detail color, and value)
Does Not Meet Objective
The landscape is drawn with only one level (the landscape only includes one of the following: a foreground, middle ground or background). The are no compositional principles used to in this work.

Colors
Advanced/Exceeding Objective
Colors were applied in a neat and creative manner. Colors were evenly and consistently applied (there are no "blotchy" dark or light areas). Color is used to create the illusion of depth.
Proficient/Meeting Objective
The application of the color is fairly neat and creative. There is variation in color from dark to light used in the foreground, middle ground and background. Images vary in color. Color is somewhat used to create the illusion of depth.
Developing/Partially Meeting Object
The application of the color is not very neat or creative. Little use of darkness to lightness is shown from foreground to background. images have little variation in color. Color is used very little to create the illusion of depth.
Does Not Meet Objective
The application of color was not done in a neat or creative manner. Colors do not change in lightness or darkness from foreground to background. All hills and trees are the same color tone. No variation of Color is used to create the illusion of depth.
Total Points
