Knowedge and Understanding Is the content accurate and how does it address the issue?	Level 1 The PSA is not accurate and does little to address the issues of the topic.	Level 2 The PSA contains accurate content, but it does not address the topic effectively.	Level 3 The PSA is original and accurate and for the most part addresses the topic effectively.	Level 4 The PSA is original and accurate, effectively addresses the issue.
Communication Is the project organized in a clear and logical way?	Level 1 Performance is unrelated, may be silly or project not taken seriously.	Level 2 Students take project seriously but information may be organized in a way that makes the PSA difficult to understand.	Level 3 Material is well organized. Most parts make sense with the topic.	Level 4 Material is well organized and all parts make sense with the topic.
Application Does the project use conventions of a PSA? Is there a clear message relating to the topic?	Level 1 Limited use of the conventions of a PSA Message is unclear or not included. Limited relationship with message and topic.	Level 2 Uses some conventions of a PSA Message is somewhat clear could use some clarification. Somewhat related to the topic.	Level 3 Uses most of the conventions of a PSA Message is clear and mostly relates to the topic.	Level 4 Effectively uses the conventions of a PSA The message is clear and fully relates to the topic
Thinking and Inquiry The issue presented has been critically examined. An appropriate message has been presented.	Level 1 Little evidence of critical thinking. The message is inappropriate for the topic.	Level 2 Some evidence of critical thinking. The message is somewhat appropriate.	Level 3 Considerable evidence of critical thinking. The message is mostly appropriate.	Level 4 High degree of critical thinking is evident. The message is highly appropriate.
Overall Impression What is the overall impression?	Level 1 There are many problems with the performance that distract from its effectiveness. Problems may include blocking issues, no memorization/no cue cards, too brief, video quality, poor transitions, lack of editing etc.	Level 2 There are some problems but overall the performance is able to communicate about the issue. Use of cue cards.	Level 3 Any problems are so minimal that they don't distract from the effectiveness of the message. Performance is well rehearsed, mainly memorized and or cue cards are used	Level 4 Performance is well rehearsed, memorized and effective.
