Writing Portfolio Writing Portfolio This is an assessment of a writing portfolio that students will have created over the entire semester. Each individual assignment will have already been marked so this is an assessment of the portfolio as a whole. Both the teacher and the student will mark the portfolio according to this rubric. Self reflections	Needs some work Missing more than two self reflections. Self reflections show very little thought.	You're on your way... Missing a couple of self reflections. Self reflections are basic.	You got it! Includes 8 reflections. The self reflections show thought.	Outstanding! Includes 8 reflections or more. All of the self reflections are very insightful and show careful consideration.
Improvement	Needs some work Little improvement. Student achieved only a few of the desired goals.	You're on your way... Some improvement. Student achieved some goals.	You got it! Good improvement. Student achieved most or all desired goals.	Outstanding! Extensive improvement. Student achieved all desired goals and more.
Organization	Needs some work Material is unorganized and difficult to understand. Missing a number of pieces.	You're on your way... Organization is basic. Missing more than a few pieces.	You got it! Materials presented in an effective manner. Very few pieces missing.	Outstanding! Materials presented in a very creative and effective manner. No pieces missing.
