Student shows his/her work for all steps of the problem. The problem solving process employed is logical, leading to a sensible and error-free solution.

Student is somewhat prepared. He or she is minimally familiar with the selected problem, but fails to effectively explain a solution.

Student is mostly prepared. He or she is familiar with the selected problem and is able to effectively explain the solution.
Exemplary
Student is very prepared. He or she is ready to present when called on, very familiar with the selected problem, and is able to effectively explain the solution in an engaging and thoughtful way.

Student makes little or no eye contact with the audience. He/she reads directly from the paper.
Developing
Student makes occasional eye contact with the audience. He/she reads directly from the paper most of the time.
Satisfactory
Student makes eye contact with the audience for most of the presentation. He/she occasionally reads directly from the paper.
Exemplary
Student makes eye contact with the audience for the entire presentation. Presentation is well-rehearsed and student does not read directly from paper.
