Weekly Class Participation Grade Weekly Class Participation Grade (10 points: ) Below is a chart that shows you exactly how your class participation grade will be determined. All students are expected to attend and participate in class. Forms of participation other than speaking up during class discussion (although this is a primary form of participation) include coming to me for extra help, giving other students feedback in class, adhering to the use of electronic devices only for academic purposes, and consistent attendance. ATTENDANCE/PUNCTUALITY 50 % Shows up on time to class.	Meets expectations Student is always on time and regularly attends classes. Does not meet expectations Student is absent from class one or more times, or more than 5 min late three or more times.
LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR 50 % Engagement in class.	Meets expectations Student often asks questions, and/or participates in discussions. Electronic device is used exclusively for academic purposes.	Moderately less than expectations Student sometimes asks questions, and/or participates discussions. Electronic device is used exclusively for academic purposes.	Does not meet expectations Student never participates in class, and/or struggles with discussions.
