Independent Reading Book Letter Rubric
For 10% of your grade, you are required to read and write a letter to me about two books that you read in addition to what we read in our Reading class, per quarter. Your letter must contain a plot summary, a description of the setting, a comparison/contrast of you and any main character in the text, as well as questions that you had as you read the story, and, finally, whether you would recommend the story to me or to a friend and why....

The summary contains very little unncessary information.
Cosi cosi
In additon to the above content requirements, the letter contains a summary of the plot and main characters that gives only a decent overview of the story to an imaginary friend so that he/she would only get an average idea of the story if they didn't read it. The summary contains some unncessary information.
Che Schifo!
In additon to the above content requirements, the letter contains a summary of the plot and main characters that doesn't really give a realistic clue of the story to an imaginary friend so that he/she would not really understand the story if they didn't read it. Bravo
