Digital Story This is an approach that is used to help students learn Arabic using creativity, Team work, critical thinking, editing and more.

Purpose: The Purpose is to give the subtends the ability to ling the learning to their personal life and to have their voice heard and to take the lead of the learning	EXCELLENT Sundus Establishes a purpose early on and maintains a clear focus throughout. shows a clear understanding of the themes and scripts created from storyboards.👍😊	GOOD Shows a good understanding of the themes and scripts created from storyboards. Content This is we looked at the theme of Our Planet and The Art of Ali Omar Ermes	EXCELLENT Includes all the components of a PBL and more then two ways learning is supported.	GOOD Includes all but one component of PBL and two ways learning is supported.	FAIR Includes a 4 or less components of PBL and zero to one ways learning is supported. Translation Students used their strong language which is English to start with and then translate to the second language they were studying	EXCELLENT All translation was written correctly. every sentence was translated accurately. the spelling of the translation was correct. the sentence structure was well put. an excellent understanding of both the grammar and meaning was shown.	GOOD All translation was written correctly. most( less than 1/4 mistaken ) sentences were translated accurately. most of the spelling was correct. some words were misplaced. a good understanding of both the grammar and meaning was shown.😊	FAIR All translation was written correctly. most sentence was translated accurately. some of the spelling was correct. some words were misplaced. a good understanding of both the grammar and meaning was shown.	POOR most translation was written incorrectly ( one was correct). many spelling errors( more than ten). most words were misplace, wrong structure ( more than half of the work). no understanding of both the grammar and meaning was shown .
Grammar Grammar was used while writing and speaking in a communicative way.	EXCELLENT Grammar is always correct and contributed to clarity and style.	GOOD Grammar was typically correct and errors did not detract.😊	FAIR Repeated errors in grammar and usage distracted greatly from the story.	POOR many grammar mistakes
creativity Students had to be encouraged to work outside their comfort zone and that needed a lot of encouragement and build of confidence	EXCELLENT Thinking outside the box. constantly trying new things and using multiple resources including their own resources to create unique and creative work.👍😊	GOOD sometimes thinks outside the box. At times tries new things and uses a few resources to create unique and creative work.	FAIR only creative when working with others that share the same passion and push one to do so. otherwise does not make an effort to think outside the box.	POOR no creativity involved, does not think outside the box, nor make an effort to create unique work.
critical thinking students used lot off changes of their stories or scenes and criticised the way they should present their film. they were building a good critical thinking skills	EXCELLENT Sundus is constantly self reflecting and looking for feed back, in order to progress and develop ones work and skill set.👍😊	GOOD sometimes self reflects, is open to feedback, acts upon some feedback given not all.	FAIR does not self reflect, however listens to some feedback given.	POOR does not self reflect not open to feedback given.
Team work Students had to work outside the school as a team to be able to achieve their great achievement. we used what App group and their were contacting each other as well.	EXCELLENT Final product proves that it would have impossible to accomplish working alone. clear roles given and responsibility shared. regular discussion. respect shown to each team member overcame any differences with respect and politeness.😊👍	GOOD each students was assigned different roles. most students participated most team members respected one an other. Regular meeting were kept	FAIR Some team members excel in their activities. most dead lines were met. less meetings took place. only a few participants shred ideas and distributed thoughts in these meetings.	POOR The final piece clearly proved to have been done by only one or two members. no respect shown. no meetings held. no ideas shared.
Story Board and script Story board was necessary as pre production design to start with the filming process.it has to be very clear to start filming	EXCELLENT A clear and detailed plan of the project is shown. detailed scene descriptions. audio, notes and dialogue was shown for every scene.👍😊	GOOD A clear and detailed plan of the project is shown. detailed description for most scenes. audio, notes and dialogue was shown for most scenes.	FAIR A brief and simple plan of the project is shown. a few descriptions were shown for a few scenes. audio, notes and dialogue was shown for a few scene.	POOR no plan of the project is shown. no descriptions were shown for majority of the scenes. audio, notes and dialogue was shown for one scene.
Editing Editing is a skill that students has to show after filming to add a new skill to their learning.	EXCELLENT edited the film using iMovie, movie maker or any other resource. .	GOOD edited some parts of the film using imovie, moviemaker or any other resource. Sundus showed a clear way of editing and was always in contact to edit her scenes. Very proud of her hard work😊	FAIR edited a few clips of the film using imovie, moviemaker or any other resource.?????	POOR NO editing was done using using imovie, moviemaker or any other resource.?? Ahmad You still have got time to show you can edit your scenes.
Four skills of learning this approach was used to help students learn the language of Arabic through this approach to improve their reading, Writing , Speaking and listening	EXCELLENT reading is fluent and clear. writing includes no grammar or spelling mistakes and clear handwriting. well spoken, clear articulation of letters and uses the Modern standard Arabic , forms well structured sentences and uses appropriate and advanced vocabulary. represents clear understanding when spoken Sundus shows a very good standard of reading, writing and speaking listening Skills.👍😊	GOOD reading is almost fluent and clear. writing includes some grammar or spelling mistakes and handwriting is good. speaks fluently majority of the time, clear articulation of letters and sometimes uses the Modern standard Arabic forms well structured sentences and sometimes uses appropriate and standard vocabulary. . represents good understanding when spoken to.	FAIR reading is not fluent nor clear. writing includes many grammer or spelling mistakes and handwriting is not clear. struggles to structure sentences and use appropriate vocabulary, uses other arabic dialect. represents some understanding when spoken to	POOR struggle to read, write and speak arabic. shows little to no understanding when spoken to.
OVERALL this is looking at the student role in the classroom and outside the classroom as well as the role of parents to help this approach to succeed	EXCELLENT Overall, Sundus is a very hardworking who constantly completes all her work, I thank her parents who play a great role in her progress. her written work is very good, however she needs to focus on expanding her vocabulary. at first Sundus was very shy however via the uses of digital storytelling she has gained confidence. she works in and out of the classroom works well with her classmates.👍😊	GOOD	FAIR	POOR
