Using a Grid to Transfer and Enlarge an Image
8th- Tiger Enlargement Drawing
Students will enlarge and transfer an image using a grid technique. They will learn to measure with and use a ruler correctly. Students will apply their knowledge of learned vocabulary, such as value, shading, and blending.

There was a rush to finish and no real effort was placed on completing the project as instructed. The image may lack value, neatness, craft, and overall presentation.

The paper is covered by the image, but fails to be shaded, has a middle tone value overall, and could use some more contrast. Grid marks, etc.

The whole paper is covered, leaving no blank spaces. There are maybe some grid lines showing due to pressing to hard in the beginning.

The whole paper is covered, filled in with shading, grid lines are erased, and the drawing is neat, smudge free, and displays a full range of values.

The was a steady effort made to incorporate value into the drawing, but maybe it wasn't the main concern to accomplish.

Drawing shows a pretty solid range of value. Attempts were made to incorporate a range of value into the drawing. Done neatly.

A full range of values was used on the drawing. The definion and application of value was done clearly and intentionally with care.

Student made little or no attempt to reference the image given to enlarge. Image is completely off scale.

The image was drawn with little regard for the image itself. Very few lines and shapes were correctly transfered, due to lack of observation.

Transferred the general shapes and lines of the overall image. No real detail was included.
Above Average
The image was transferred well but not to the fullest potential of the student. Some lines and shapes maybe missed placed, but overall the images hold up to the original.

The student paid close attention to visual placement of line and shape as directed. The image was transfered neatly and placed intentionally.
