25 %
Poor
Students do not interact with each other at all.
Fair
Some members of the group interact with each other but there is at least one member that is left out.
Good
Students interact with each other but not in the same amount. There is at least one member of the group that participates less than the rest.
Excellent
All the members of the group interact with each other and share their thoughts and reflections.
Collaboration
25 %
Poor
Each member of the group does his/her own part without taking into account what the other members of the group are doing.
Fair
There are some members of the group that help each other and share ideas, but there is at least one member that suits his/herself and does not cooperate with the rest of the group.
Good
Students share their ideas, reflect on what they are doing and help each other, but there is one member who, despite he/she does it, seems reluctant to cooperate and help his/her classmates.
Excellent
There is group cohesion and all the members of the group help each other, share their ideas and reflect on what they are writing.
Writing process
25 %
Poor
Students are not taking into account the writing process. They are missing some parts or they are going straightaway to the final version part.
Fair
Students are following the writing process, but they just have in mind to finish quickly, without paying much attention to what they are doing. For example, they are doing the brainstorming but they settle for the first idea they have without discussing it or look for more options.
Good
Students are following the writing process properly. However, there is at least one member of the group who does not participate.
Excellent
All the members of the group are following the writing process and they are all taking part of what they are writing. They do what they are supposed to do in that specific part of the writing process.
Strategy
25 %
Poor
Students picked one strategy but they are not following it at all.
Students did not choose a strategy.
Fair
Students chose a strategy but there are some mistakes when they apply it such as not giving roles in stratified-division strategy.
Good
Students chose a strategy and they are following it. They understood the strategy and they are able to apply it, but there are some slips like following a stratified-division strategy and having a member editing the paper who is not the editor (role).
Excellent
All the members of the group understood the strategy, the roles (if they distributed them) and each member does what he or she is supposed to do without any mistake.
