Vocabulary and Oganization	SUPERIEUR! Writer exceeds or fulfills the requirements by writing a variety of simple and compound sentences. New vocabulary and structures are used.	COMPETENT! Writer meets the requirements by writing simple and some compound sentences. Writing is generally logical. Uses unit vocabulary.	FONDAMENTAL Writer expresses ideas in mostly simple sentences. Compound sentences are few in number. Uses some unit vocabulary.	DESSOUS DE BAS Writer only uses simple sentences. Limited amount of unit vocabulary is used.
Content	SUPERIEUR! All questions are asked and answered in the conversation. Additional questions and answers are included in the dialogue.	COMPETENT! All questions are asked and answered in the conversation.	FONDAMENTAL Most questions are asked and answered in the conversation.	DESSOUS DE BAS Few questions are asked and answered in the conversation.
Abbreviations	SUPERIEUR! Writer uses a variety ( 4 or more) abbreviations.	COMPETENT! Writer uses at least 3 abbreviations.	FONDAMENTAL Writer uses 2 or less abbreviations.	DESSOUS DE BAS Writer does not include abbreviations.
