The purpose of this assignment is for you to demonstrate reading comprehension of opposing views. The Depriest case was present in the Daily Journal with not only the information of the criminal act, but also with opinions on the sentence by the prosecutor and the defense attorney. In this assignment you must demonstrate your knowledge of the issues discussed in the articles, including the main ideas behind the differing opinions.
