Homework will be graded on the following basis; the assignment is complete for the day that it is due; the assignment is corrected; work is done in pencil and is legilible; the assignment is put in homework format; there is evidence that the math is understood, ie not just the answers

EFFORT 20 % Assignment is completed and the answers are corrected	Points - 2 All problems are attempted ;a solution is found and all of the problems are corrected	Points - 1 Some (50-75%) of the problems are attempted ;a solution is found and all of the problems are corrected	Points - 0 Less than 50% of all problems are attempted/ and or corrected
UNDERSTANDING 20 % Demonstrates Understanding	Points - 2 Show complete understanding opf the concepts by showing the process of each problem	Points - 1 Show some understanding of the concepts by showing the process of each problem	Points - 0 Does not show a complete understanding of the concepts; very little work is shown; there is no evidence of any real understanding
TIMELINESS 20 % Work is turned in on time.	Points - 2 The homework is complete and handed in when requested ( on the day that it is due)	Points - 1 The homework is complete and handed in 1 day late	Points - 0 The homework is not complete or handed in on time ( the day that it is due) and/or homework is handed in after the block that it is due. (This does not include absences)
LEGIBILITY 10 % It is important to be able to read your work.	Points - 2 Work is legible	Points - 1 Work is mostly legible	Points - 0 Work is difficult to read.
FORMAT 10 % Homework Format will be communicated when assignment is given	Points - 2 The work is in the homework format as instructed.	Points - 1 The work is partially in the homework format as instructed.	Points - 0 The work is not done as explained.
