This rubric will measure the abilities of students to thread a sewing machine and bobbin, use the sewing machine properly and complete a sewing project by hand stitching using a backstitch.

Student presents completed project that has at least 3 letters/characters and ribbon

Student presents completed project that is missing ribbon or 2 or more letters/characters

Student presents project that is missing ribbon and at least 1 chacter/letter
Completed Project

Students will present completed project for final test of their ability to successfully thread a machine and bobbin, operate the machine and stitch the remainder up to complete the project.

Student presents completed project in perfect condition. Has completed all steps in order to present a completed project without any assistance.

Student presents completed project in good condition. Has completed all steps in order to present a completed project with minor assistance.
