Health Science Notebook Rubric Biology Notebook Rubric This rubric will be used to tell you how you will be graded on keeping a notebook of all the work you do in class. You must keep a notebook of work you do everyday. This Rubric will assess how completely and efficiently you have kept your assignments, notes and handouts organized in your health science notebook. Appearance of Notebook 1 pts Notebook must have your name on the front cover in large readable letters along with what class (HS 1 or HS 2), and what period ( AM or PM)	Excellent Notebook cover is neat and has easily readable letters to identify your name and period. There are no extra marks, nor poorly written words on the front. It looks professional	Good Notebook has your neme and period on the front and looks ok, but could have been done neater and made to show more pride and ability.	Fair Notebook has your name but not the period. Or has your name and period written in a sloppy fashion that is hard to read, with other marks, drawings, or looks messy	Poor Notebook does not have your name or period written on the front of the notebook
Required Elements 1 pts DCEs, Notes, Exit Tickets, Medical Terminology, Medical Math, Skills/Clinical, Projects, Homework	Excellent Contains all of the required elements: Vocabulary, Notes, worksheets, activities, labs, and projects.	Good Contains nearly all of the required elements: Vocabulary, Notes, worksheets, activities, labs, and projects.	Fair Missing some of the required elements: Vocabulary, Notes, worksheets, activities, labs, and projects.	Poor Missing most of the required elements: Vocabulary, Notes, worksheets, activities, labs, and projects.
Quality of work 1 pts Work appears to have been done with care and completeness, showing pride in doing work well.	Excellent All assignments are in the notebook. Each assignment is clearly written, fully done, and has additional graphs, comments, evaluations on what was learned about each lesson.	Good Nearly all of the assignments are in this notebook. It looks neat, and shows the student did alot of work, but still could be better.	Fair Notebook has several assignments but lacks a substantial amount, and the ones it contains are not very well done.	Poor Notebook has few if any assignments in it and the ones it contains are poorly done
