The Monster Exchange The Monster Exchange Students will create and draw an original monster and then describe how to draw their monster, in a multi-step format, for another student to redraw. Procedural Writing	Level 1 Directions were not written in a clear, descriptive manner and were not multi-step.	Level 2 Directions were written in a clear, multi-step manner, with minimal details. Used copyright or unknown beings/figures more than once.	Level 3 Directions were written clearly and in the multi-step format., but lacked accurate and precise details. Used copyright or unknown beings/figures once.	Level 4 Directions were written in a clear, descriptive manner with excellent multi-step directions. The monster was completely original, with no use of copyright or unknown beings/figures.
Drawing Assignment	Level 1 Little effort in drawing own monster and had difficulty following instructions for the redraw.	Level 2 Some effort in drawing own monster and followed basic instructions for the redraw, but missed more than one detail.	Level 3 Good effort in drawing own monster and followed the general instructions for the redraw, but missed some of the details.	Level 4 Excellent effort in drawing own monster and followed instructions accurately and precisely for the redraw.
Creativity	Level 1 Did not include a<BR> behaviour and/or personality section for the monster, displaying no creativity beyond the physical description.	Level 2 The behaviour and personality of the monster is somewhat creative and there is some use of appropriate scientific language.
