Grammar/Parts of Speech	Excellent Students correctly use nouns, verbs, and adjectives missing from their Mad Lib. There were no more than 2 grammatical errors in the story.	Good Students left nouns, verbs, and adjectives out of their Mad Lib, but not always correctly. There were 3-5 grammatical errors in the story.	Satisfactory Students only used 2 of 3 parts of speech in their story and many were used incorrectly. There were 5-8 grammatical errors in the story.	Needs Improvement Students only used 1 of 3 parts of speech in their Mad Lib and the majority were incorrect. There were numerous grammatical errors.
Collaboration	Excellent Students worked together in pairs well.	Good Students had a few minor disagreements but worked together well for the most part.	Satisfactory Students had difficulties working together.	Needs Improvement Students did not work together and one student ended up doing most of the work.
Creativity/Neatness	Excellent The Mad Lib is completely original. It is easy to see that there was much time and thought put into the completion of this story. The Mad Lib is written neatly.	Good The story has an element of originality but closley follows examples given in class. The Mad Lib is fairly neat.	Satisfactory The Mad Lib is very similar to ones shown in class with few differences. The Mad Lib is not very neatly written.	Needs Improvement The Mad Lib lacks originality and is nearly the same as those shown in class. The Mad Lib is messy.
Mad Lib Completion	Excellent Student correctly fills in all of a friends Mad Lib blanks.	Good Student misses 1-3 blanks on a friends Mad Lib.	Satisfactory Student misses 4-6 blanks on a friends Mad Lib.	Needs Improvement Student misses 7 or more blanks on a friends Mad Lib.
