Correct parts of Staff	Excellent Student has included all of the parts of the staff including clef sign, and bar lines. Student has put the pitches on the correct line or space.	Good Student has made an attempt to include most of the parts of the staff and has made some errors on the pitches.	Fair Student has included some of the parts of the staff and has not placed the pitches on the correct line or space very often.	Poor Student has made little or no attempt to include any of the parts of the staff and has incorrectly put the pitches on the staff.
Pitches	Excellent Student has used only the notes provided for this composition. (drm sl)	Good Student has used mostly the notes provided with some errors.	Fair Student has used a variety of notes, some of which include the notes provided.	Poor Student has made no effort to use any of the notes provided.
Rhythm	Excellent Student used only rhythms that were given by instructor and used them in a varied way. There are no rhythmic errors in the composition.	Good Student used specified rhythms but had rhythmic errors in the composition.	Fair Student did not use specified rhythms or may have used them incorrectly.	Poor Student did not make an attempt to use any right rhythms in any sort of correct order.
Performance	Excellent Student plays composition to the best of their ability.	Good Student plays composition mostly to the best of their ability, more practice could result in better performance.	Fair Student plays the composition but does not show effort towards the performance.	Poor Student makes little or no attempt to play the composition.
