Guns, Germs and Steel Presentation Rubric Roaring 20's Presentation Students will present a short skit or reenactment of the information in Jared Diamond's Guns, Germs and Steel. Presentation should be no more than 10 minutes in length and address the following points: A summary of the chapters assigned, connections to our modern world and answer the question:Why did the "Old World" conquer the "New World?" 	Poor 60 pts	Fair 80 pts	Good 100 pts
Presentation Research 60 %	Poor The Student did little research and was not aware of their topics key ideas, terms, figures and dates. The student was not able to answer questions from their peers.	Fair The student was not fully aware of their topics and could not give details about their main ideas, terms, figures and dates.	Good The Student researched their topic and knew the key ideas, terms, figures and dates. The student was able to answer the questions from their peers.
Presentation Aid 20 %	Poor There was no aid or the aid was incomplete, inaccurate, messy, or did not apply to the topic.	Fair The aid was sloppy and not very descriptive or was not a very good example.	Good The aid was useful, accurate and provided their peers with a better understanding of their topic.
Presentation skills 20 %	Poor The student did not do their share of the workload. The students did not speak up. The students did not show their understanding of the material. The student did not fill the presentation time requirement	Fair The student knew their subject but did not project or did not fulfill their time requirement.	Good It was apparent the student did their share of the workload. The student used a firm loud presentation voice. The student showed their understanding of the material.
