Excellent Content contains important information directly from the text, and includes details of the character's interactions. There are references to ideas talked about in class.
Insight	Poor Doesn't relate the text to outside ideas/beliefs. Failed to address large issues discussed in class.	Fair Relates the text to outside ideas rarely. Addressing of large issues minimal and surface level.	Good Relates the text to outside ideas of a smaller scope, or ideas already closely related to the text. Addresses large issues discussed in class.	Excellent Relates the text to outside ideas, including the student, the community, and society. Addresses large issues discussed in class.
