The Solar System

This is a rubric I created to give my students a very clear idea of what is expected of them. This rubric shows them what they need to do in order to earn a specific grade on the project. This rubric also made grading the projects very quick and easy.

Scale	Poor The planets are not made to scale accurately or are all the same size.	Fair 3-5 of the objects were made to scale accurately while others were not.	Good All objects were made to scale accurately.
Labels	Poor 2 or fewer of the objects/planets were labeled correctly.	Fair 3-5 of the objects were labeled correctly.	Good All of the objects were labeled correctly.
Arrangement	Poor The order/arrangement of the planets is completely incorrect.	Fair There are few mistakes in the arrangement/order of the planets.	Good The arrangement/order of the planets is correct.
Neatness	Poor The project is very messy and cannot be read/understood.	Fair The project is mostly neat with few messy areas.	Good The project is neat and easily understood.
