Organization of Materials	Poor A beginning or ending sentence, but not both. Ideas are not thought out and appear in random order. Writing not neat and difficult for teacher to read.	Fair A beginning and ending sentence, but supporting facts are few and not well organized.	Good Beginning and ending sentences that introduce what you are writing about and then makes conclusions using the facts from your paragraph.
Punctuation and Spelling	Poor Many spelling mistakes and poor use of grammar.	Fair A few mistakes in spelling and grammar, but overall some proofreading was done and mistakes corrected.
