Classroom Expectations 
Students can earn from 0-100 points per class based on their behavior during class. This grade will count as 50% of their total grade.

Entering Classroom

Expected behavior when students enter the classroom.

Poor

Student will enter classroom making a lot of noise. Student does not put belongings away. They do not have any materials needed. Student does not complete Do Now.
Fair

Student is able to complete 25% of the classroom routine. Enter room quietly, put belongings away, sit down and begin Do Now. Student has 25% of materials
Moderate

Student is able to complete 50% of the classroom routine. Enter room quietly, put belongings away, sit down and begin Do Now. Student has 50% of materials
Good

Student is able to complete 75% of the following classroom routine. Enter room quietly, put belongings away, sit down and begin Do Now. Student has 75% of materials.
Excellent

Student will enter classroom quietly, quickly put belongings away, takes their seat and begin the Do Now lesson. Student has all materials needed.
Classwork

Effort put into any classwork assigned for the day.

Poor

Student does not put any effort into or does not attempt to do any classwork assigned including Do Now.
Fair

Student does not complete more then 25% of the claswork assignments including Do Now.
Moderate

Student does not complete more then 50% of classwork assigned and/or put 50% effort into classwork and Do Now.
Good

Student completes 75% of classwork using their best efforts to complete the work.
Excellent

Students completes all classwork and Do Now assignment and uses their best efforts to complete all work.
Participation

Expected behavior during group activities.

Poor

Student spends 100% of time not participating in group activities. Does not raise hand to answer questions and is unable to answer questions due to lack of participation.
Fair

Student spends 75% of time not participating in group acitivities. Does not raise hand to answer questions and is unable to answer questions due to lack of participation.
Moderate

Student spends 50% of the time not participating in group activities. Will raise hand / anser questions when called upon but incorrect due to lack of participation.
Good

Student spends 25% of time not participating in group acitivities. Student is able to appropriately participate 75% of the time. They are able to respond to 75% of questions and raise hand to participate.
Excellent

Students partipates in all group activities. Student gives 100% effort in answering questions when called upon and raising hand to participate in discussions.
Respects Others

Expectations on how to treat others in the classroom.

Poor

Students spends 100% of the class time, disrespecting students/teachers. Disrespect includes but is not limited to name calling or rude comments towards other students/teachers.
Fair

Student spends 75% or more engaged in disrespectful behavior. Student is able to control behavior at least 25% of class time.
Moderate

Student spends less then 50% of class time engaged in disrespectful behavior. Student is able to control behavior more then 50% of the overall class time.
Good

Student spends less then 25% of the class engaged in disrespectful behavior. Student is able to control behavior more then 75% of the time.
Excellent

Student spends 100% of class time respecting others in the classroom.
Does Not Disrupt

Expected behavior during class.

Poor

Student spends 100% of time disrupting class.These behaviors incl. getting up out of seat, talking to other students, interupting when teacher/ students r speaking, not raising a quiet hand.(5 or more)
Fair

Student spends 75% of time disrupting class.These behaviors incl. getting up out of seat, talking to other students, interupting when teacher/ students r speaking, not raising a quiet hand.(4 times)
Moderate

Student spends 50%time disrupting class.These behaviors incl. getting up out of seat, talking to other students, interupting when teacher/ students r speaking, not raising a quiet hand.(3 times)
Good

Student spends 25%time disrupting class.These behaviors incl. getting up out of seat, talking to other students, interupting when teacher/ students r speaking, not raising a quiet hand.(2 times)
Excellent

Students spends 100% of class time behaving appropriately.
