Design Does your fort look like a fort?	Emerging model does not resemble a fort in the least. There are no details supporting the idea that this is a trading fort.	Developing almost looks like a fort. There are only a few details.	Proficient resembles a fort. A few details are missing, but the fort looks just fine. Details are clear.	Extending resembles the finest of Forts, complete with very fine detailing. Very small people could almost live there.
Materials How well did you use any materials available? Were you creative?	Emerging Fort was bought at a nearby store or not put together at all. Materials are messy, and resembles a fort that is work in progress.	Developing not the best use of materials, but the fort is built and it looks, for the most part, a fort.	Proficient creative use of materials. there are a few predictable substances, but it is built and it looks good!	Extending very creative use of matierials. Who knew you could build a fort out of those materials! Looks great!
Presentation How well do you show off your fort.	Emerging presentation did nothing to clarify or explain the fort or its features. Eye contact was lacking from all group members.	Developing presentation clarified one of the forts features. Minimal eye contact during presentation. Group could have benefitted by showing more enthusiasm.	Proficient presentation was good. Features were explained and choices were made. Eye contact and excitement evident in most parts of the presentation.	Extending presentation was excellent. Choices and details were clearly explained thoroughly. Excitement and eye contact was evident the whole way through from beginning to end.
Neatness/Realism Construction	Emerging No effort to make structure look acceptable.	Developing Structure not put together with care and realism.	Proficient Some orderliness and realism present and neatness.	Extending Structure is submitted in a realistic way.
