Drawing	Poor The student has drawn both a person and a shadow but did not have the correct position or shadow length.	Fair The student has drawn both a person and a shadow. The shadow is in the correct position OR is the correct length.	Good The student completed a drawing of a person and shadow. The shadow is in the correct position and its length reflects the time of day.
Direction	Poor The student did not identify the position of the sun or shadow correctly.	Fair The student identified the position of the sun OR shadow correctly.	Good The student identified the direction of the sun and shadow correctly.
Time of day	Poor The student did not identify the time of day correctly.	Fair The student identified the time of day correctly, but did not write complete sentences.	Good The student identified the time of day correctly and wrote a complete sentence.
Spelling	Poor The student had many spelling errors.	Fair The student spelled most words correctly.	Good The student spelled all words correctly.
