	Proficient 4 pts	Bridging 3 pts	Expanding 2 pts	Emerging 1 pts
Organization	Proficient Student presents information in logical, interesting sequence which audience can follow.	Bridging Student presents information in logical sequence which audience can follow, with a few lapses.	Expanding Audience has some difficulty following presentation because students jump around.	Emerging Audience cannot understand presentation because there is no sequence of information.
Preparation	Proficient Student is fully prepared to present to the class.	Bridging Student is mostly prepared to present to the class.	Expanding Student is somewhat unprepared.	Emerging Student is not prepared.
Eye Contact	Proficient Student maintains eye contact with audience, seldom returning to notes.	Bridging Student maintains eye contact most of the time but frequently return to notes.	Expanding Student occasionally uses eye contact, but still reads most of literature circle page.	Emerging Student reads all of report with no eye contact.
Voice	Proficient Student uses a clear voice so that all audience members can hear presentation.	Bridging Student voice is clear but may have moments hard to catch. Most audience members can hear presentation.	Expanding Student voice is quiet without projection. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation.	Emerging Student mumbles and speaks too quietly to hear most of presentation.
Content	Proficient The content of the presentation clearly stays on topic: * Clear purpose and subject; * Strong examples from the text are introduced and explained. * Conclusions/ideas are supported by evidence from the text.	Bridging The content of the presentation mostly stays on topic. The purpose/task is introduced but not fully developed. Ideas are introduced, but may not be supported by text examples.	Expanding The content of the presentation somewhat stays on topic/focus. The focus/task is somewhat confusing and is not fully developed, and/or there is little textual support.	Emerging The content is unclear and does not stay on task. The key ideas are not identified, explained, nor supported by the text.
