The paper has an element of creativity and style, and is not just a list of facts. The paper demonstrates thought and full understanding of the subject matter.
Good

The paper is written clearly and in a logical sequence. The paper contains facts as well as an attempt to include style into the paper.
Fair

The paper lacks style and reads more like a list of facts than a research paper.
Poor

The paper is not written in paragraph form, but rather in a bulleted list. The paper lacks a clear understanding of the subject matter and does not show logical sequence.
Grammar/Mechanics

Exceeds

The paper is free from spelling and grammatical errors, and is written in a clear and concise manner. Bibliography format is correct.
Good

The paper is mostly free from spelling and grammatical errors with only a few minor mistakes that do not distract the reader. Bibliography shows only one or two mistakes.
Fair

There are several spelling and grammatical errors and the reader is distracted by the errors. There are major errors in the bibliography format.
Poor

Ther paper is full of spelling and grammatical errors and there is no bibliography showing resources used.
Work quality/Effort

Exceeds

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Good

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this project.
Fair

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Poor

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
