InDesign-Newsletter Project

Create a newsletter using InDeign. The Newsletter should have a minimum of 4 pages and include at least one movie! Be creative and make the finished product look as professional as possible. The final project must be an Indesign document.

Layout	Great Take image or background out to the edges of the Paper. Make sure bleed area is beyond page area.	Good Image or background is in the print area taking up most of the page. Image is not beyond the print area.	Fair Image is to small to give impact to the magazine.	Poor No image is on the page
Section Titles	Great Choose titles that can reflect the audience you are trying to reach. It must be school appropriate.	Good Title does not reflect the targeted audience. It is still creative.	Fair Does not follow expectations. Is not creative.	Poor The title does not meet any of the criteria.
Content	Great Content is well written and grammatically correct. It highlights the person in question extremely well.	Good Content is included, but somewhat basic. Some errors, but still readable.	Fair Content is bland and/or contains errors that make it difficult to read.	Poor No content, lots of errors
Photos/Graphics	Great Photo is in focus and utilizes the composition elements. Photo is compelling and brings the reader into the magazine. Graphics are used to add interest to the cover. color is used to effectively bring in reader.	Good Photo is not in focus, it lacks clarity, and/ or the subject matter is not in line with magazine. Photo does not bring reader to the cover. Graphics used does not bring in the viewer. The use of colors/graphics are ineffective.	Fair Photo is of poor quality and does not add to the overall quality of the magazine cover. The photo detracts from the magazine. Graphic used is plain. It shows no research.	Poor Photo is missing. Photo is self portrait. Photo was taken by someone else. Graphics are used ineffectively.
Movies	Great Movie is in focus and utilizes the composition elements. Movie is compelling and brings the reader into the magazine.	Good Movie is not in focus, it lacks clarity, and/ or the subject matter is not in line with magazine. Movie does not bring reader to the cover.	Fair Movie is of poor quality and does not add to the overall quality of the magazine cover. The movie detracts from the magazine.	Poor Movie is missing.
Overall professional appearance	Great The resume has a professional appearance and is creative without being over the top.	Good The resume has a semi-professional appearance. It has some audience appeal.	Fair The resume has an unprofessional appearance, but some interesting points.	Poor The resume has an unprofessional appearance.
Work ethic	Great Resume project was completed before due date.	Good Resume project was completed by due date.	Fair Resume project was completed by due date, but then resubmitted.	Poor Resume project was not completed before due date.
WCO:	Great Planning of project is evident through classroom observation and /or discussion. Creative solution has been fashioned.
