Presentation Rubric
Rubric for evaluating student book report project/presentations. Can be applied to almost any presentation. Adopted from http://www.ncsu.edu/midlink/rub.pres.html

Student demonstrates hasty, scattered, or irrelevant details.
Fair
Student demonstrates knowledge of the novel, but is lacking in consistent details, explanations, and elaboration.
Good
Student demonstrates sufficient and relevant knowledge of the novel by including details, explanations, and elaboration.
Excellent
Student demonstrates exceptional knowledge of the novel (more than required) by including specific details, explanations and elaboration.
Graphics
Poor
Student uses superfluous graphics or no graphics
Fair
Student occasionally uses graphics that rarely support text and presentation.
Good
Student's graphics relate to text and presentation.
Excellent
Student's graphics explain, reinforce, and support the text and the project/presentation. Use of graphics & images enhance presentation.
Mechanics
Poor
Student's presentation has four or more spelling errors and/or grammatical errors. Errors make it impossible to comprehend presentation.
Fair
Presentation has three misspellings and/or grammatical errors which detract from the presentation.
Good
Presentation has no more than two misspellings and/or grammatical errors, and the errors do not detract from the presentation.
Excellent
Presentation has no misspellings or grammatical errors.
Eye Contact
Poor
Student reads all of report with no eye contact.
Fair
Student occasionally uses eye contact, but still reads most of report.
Good
Student maintains eye contact most of the time but frequently returns to notes. Eye contact enhances presentation.
Excellent
Student maintains eye contact with audience, seldom returning to notes. Use of eye contact significantly enhances presentation.
Elocution (clear/expressive speech)
Poor
Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear.
Fair
Student's voice is low. Student incorrectly pronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation. Does little to enhance presentation.
Good
Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. All audience members can hear presentation. Elocution enhances presentation.
Excellent
Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation. Elocution significantly enhances presentation.
