My paper is fairly well developed and I have enough information to inform the reader about the topic. The information is clearly presented with some elaboration.
C to C- work

My paper is developed but I have minimal information which informs the reader about the topic. The information is presented with little elaboration.
D to D- work

My paper is not well developed and has a minimum amount of information. The information presented does not clearly explain the topic and might confuse my reader.
Failing work

I made no attempt to develop my paper in that I wrote very little and what I did write was confusing or inaccurate.
Explanation of Detail

A to A- work

There are plenty of specific details that are more than adequate to explain the topic.
B to B- work

There are some specific details that adequately explain the topic but some of the details do not really add significance to my topic.
C to C- work

I have details that only minimally address the topic. There are some details which do not fit in line with the topic at all.
D to D- work

I used details on my topic but they were the wrong details used in which could prove my topic.
Failing work

I have given no detail given which relates to my topic. I made no argument or explanation in an attempt to prove my topic.
Organization of Essay

A to A- work

I have a clear organization of my essay and I do not stray from my topic.
B to B- work

I have organization in my paper and do a fairly good job of staying on task with with the topic
C to C- work

I have organization which I stray from at times occasionally in my essay.
D to D- work

I have some organization in my essay but I have a tendency to stray from topic throughout the essay.
Failing work

No organization in my essay is presented. It is not clear if I strayed from my topic or not.
Tone or Voice

A to A- work

I frequently used language and tone to maintain the style of my writing in order to maintain a fluid read of my essay.
B to B- work

I occasionally used language and tone while writing my essay.
C to C- work

I attempted to speak to my reader but there were times of disconnect due to lack of style or tone in my essay.
D to D- work

I presented a voice and attempted connect with my reader but my style or tone was misleading.
Failing work

I had no clear voice in my essay and made no attempt for my reader to connect with the author in my essay. No use of style or tone was evident.
