Research	Poor Student has not done research and presents findings on topic poorly	Average Student has done some research, but not enough to prove a point.	Excellent Student has done a lot of reserach and proves point clearly and effectively.
Organization/Format	Poor There is no sense of organization in this paper.	Average There is some organization, but it is not consistent. There is an introduction and conclusion, but no clear pattern to the body of the paper.	Excellent Paper is well organized and very consistent. Contains introduction, transition sentences, organized paragraphs, and a conclusion.
Grammar	Poor Student has poor grammar in this paper.	Average Students grammar is okay, but can use direction and proof reading.	Excellent Students grammar is great, and very well written. There are minimal grammatical errors.
Focus	Poor The focus in the paper is not present.	Average The focus in the paper is present, yet hard to identify clearly.	Excellent The focus of the paper is present and clear throughout. Student uses topic sentences and details.
Citation	Poor Student has little or no citing of any research done.	Average Student has included citation for their research, but has failed to do so properly.	Excellent Student has successfully cited sources properly and includes all resources.
