Knowledge	Excellent Contestant is well-prepared to answer questions and elaborates freely.	Good Contestant is prepared to answer questions and elaborates freely.	Fair Contestant is somewhat prepared to answer questions and elaborates with prompting.	Poor There was no evidence of preparation for answering questions.
Personality	Excellent Contestant is energetic and enthusiastic. Engaging demeanor. Very natural.	Good Contestant is energetic. Very likable.	Fair Contestant is somewhat energetic. Interaction with judges is awkward.	Poor Contestant is not enthusiastic. Does not interact well with the judges.
Spontaneity/Voice	Excellent Responds clearly, quickly, and concisely.	Good Responds clearly, fairly quickly, and concisely.	Fair Responds clearly and concisely.	Poor Has difficulty responding to questions in a clear and timely manner.
