Descriptive Paragraph Writing

Imagery Creation -the student will establish imagery in the mind of the reader through the use of sensory details, vocabulary choice, and monologue or dialogue.	Level 1 -communicates imagery with limited effectiveness	Level 2 -communicates imagery with some effectiveness	Level 3 -communicates imagery with considerable effectiveness	Level 4 -communicates imagery with a high degree of effectiveness
Sentence Fluency -the student will use sentences of different lengths and structures	Level 1 -applies knowledge and skills in familiar contexts with limited effectiveness	Level 2 -applies knowledge and skills in familiar contexts with some effectiveness	Level 3 -applies knowledge and skills in familiar contexts with considerable effectiveness	Level 4 -applies knowledge and skills in familiar contexts with a high degree of effectiveness
