Craftsmanship of Stencil

Good

Student had excellent attention to detail and great precision when cutting their stencil. There are no erroneous cuts and student was sure to include bridges in their stencil.

Student had some attention to detail, but may have lacked precision when cutting their stencil. There are a few erroneous cuts and/or not enough bridges were included in the stencil.
Poor

Student did not pay attention to detail and was not precise when cutting their stencil. There are a great deal of erroneous cuts and there are few, if any, bridges included in the stencil.
Craftsmanship of Print

Good

Print edges are neat and clean. Rice paste has not run under stencil. It is evident that a great deal of pride was taken in the creation of the print.

Print edges are a bit messy, with some running or rice paste under stencil. There is some evidence that pride was taken in the creation of the print.

Print edges are messy, runny and smudged. There is virtually no evidence that the student had any personal investment in the print.

Good

The student gave an effort far beyond the requirements of the project. Student was always on task.

The student finished the project but it lacked finishing touches. The project could be improved upon with little effort. Student was on task most of the time.
Poor

The student did not finish the work. The student had a great deal of difficulty staying on task, was easily distracted.
