	Excellent 10 pts	Good 8.5 pts	Fair 7 pts	Poor or no points 5.5 pts	Unacceptable 0 pts
ATTENDANCE	Excellent Student regularly attends classes.	Good Student is absent 2-3 times/ Makes up work	Fair Student is absent 4-5 times / Some work is not made up	Poor Student has more than 5 absences in the quarter and/or Work is often not made up OR Has cut class	Unacceptable Student has more than 11 absences in the semester. Does not make up work. OR Has cut class more than once
PUNCTUALITY	Excellent Student is on time regularly or early for class.	Good Student is usually on time or early (one or two tardies with a pass).	Fair Student has been late without a pass (1 or 2 times)	Poor Student is often late, four or more times or arrives late without a pass	Unacceptable Student is late daily
PREPARATION	Excellent Student is always prepared for class with assignments and required materials punctually or early. Student always takes notes without being prompted to.	Good Student is usually prepared for class with assignments and required materials punctually. Student usually takes notes without being prompted to.	Fair Student is sometimes unprepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late. Student may need to be prompted to take notes.	Poor Student is often unprepared for class with assignments and required materials, possibly attempting to submit some materials late. Student rarely takes notes.	Unacceptable Student is NEVER prepared for class
LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT	Excellent Completes assigned tasks AND leads pair/group discussions.	Good Completes assigned tasks and participates in pair/group discussions.	Fair Must be reminded to stay on task And/Or struggles with pair/group discussions.	Poor Habitually wastes times during assigned tasks And/Or does not participate in pair/group discussions.	Unacceptable Does not complete assigned tasks or participate in pair/group discussions
PARTICIPATION	Excellent Student proactively contributes to class by offering ideas and asking questions more than once per class	Good Student proactively contributes to class by offering ideas and asking questions once per class.,	Fair Student rarely contributes to class by offering ideas and asking questions unless called upon	Poor Student never participates in class unless called upon	Unacceptable Student refuses to participate even when called upon
