iMovie Trailer Rubric

Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell iMovie Trailer choose a favorite chapter. Look for appropriate photos or clipart and/or you could create your own video that shows that you understood the chapter you choose. Please no spoilers! Set up the action without revealing the outcome. Make the people watching want to read that book.

	Level 1 10 pts	Level 2 20 pts	Level 3 30 pts	Level 4 40 pts
Overall Presentation 60 pts The overall aesthetic of the iMovie trailer/ overall impression from viewing.	Level 1 There are many problems with the trailer that distract from its effectiveness. Problems may include footage that doesn't fit the theme, poor information, incorrect spelling, etc. No Spoilers!	Level 2 There are some problems but overall the trailer only somewhat displays the chapter selected. No Spoilers!	Level 3 Any problems are so minimal that they don't distract from the effectiveness of the Chapter that is being described on the trailer. No Spoilers!	Level 4 Trailer is well edited and is ready to upload to YouTube.
Storyboard 20 pts Storyboard frames	Level 1 Storyboard frames are not edited appropriately to fit the chapter selected and/or are incomplete. No Spoilers!	Level 2 Storyboard frames are partially edited to reflect the book but important/crucial scenes from the chapter selected are not reflected in the trailer. No Spoilers!	Level 3 Storyboard frames are completed appropriately. The pictures add to the overall image of the chapter selected. No Spoilers!	Level 4 Storyboard frames are well organized and all clips make sense in the chapter selected to display.
Pictures/Video 20 pts still pictures or videos	Level 1 Pictures/ video are blurry and detract from the trailer OR too few pictures/videos used to send the appropriate message.	Level 2 Pictures/video are clear but do not have much to do with the topic of the movie	Level 3 Pictures and video are well suited to the chapter chosen. One or 2 may be slightly blurry or out of focus but most are clear and easily visible. No Spoilers!	Level 4 Pictures and video are well suited to the selected chapter. All are clear and easily visible.
