100	Discussion Criteria * Excellent use of relevant, well-chosen descriptions, facts, details, and examples to support claims, findings, arguments, or an answer to a Driving Question. * States main idea, using sentence STEM, and moves from one idea to the next in a logical order, emphasizing main points in a focused, coherent manner. * Excellent use of academic language and attention getter. * Excellent use of "brainies", voice volume and energy to present.
90	Discussion Criteria * Uses some descriptions, facts, details, and examples that support ideas, but there may not be enough, or some are irrelevant. * Uses sentence STEM. Moves from one idea to the next, but main idea may not be clear or some ideas may be in the wrong order. * Some strong use of academic language. * Some strong use of whole-brain-teaching "brainies" and speech volume.
80	Discussion Criteria * Uses too few, inappropriate, or irrelevant descriptions, facts, details, or examples to support ideas. * Does not have a main idea or sentence STEM or an introduction. Student presents ideas in an order that does not make sense. * Weak use of academic language. * Weak use of whole-brain-teaching brainies, energy, and volume.
