My 3D Apartment Model Mi apartmento nuevo Students act as architects hired to design or renovate into a one bedroom apartment space. Students complete 3 steps. 1. Fully shaded in stippling and crosshatched diagram. 2. With diagram include the typed plans 3. A 3-D model built to scale in cardboard or other materials. Students present and review the results and discuss success. Rubric Code: WC5C75 By wveronda Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Engineering Type: Project Grade Levels: 6-8, 9-12

Floor Plan/Elevation drawings	Excellent All the room drawings are well thought out with attention to details.	Good Able to use a consistent scale in their drawing. Care in drawing their walls and curves with added texture and detail.	Fair Somewhat drawn to scale. Very little concern with the quality of the perspective drawing.	Poor Not able to draw a plan view to scale.
Color, Neatness & Format	Excellent Excellent use of materials to show proper proportion and arrangement of your new apartment.	Good Good use of materials to show proper proportion and arrangement of your apartment.	Fair Adequate use of materials to show proper proportion and arrangement of your new apartment.	Poor Proper materials were not used to show proper proportion and arrangement of your new apartment. (TSW provide labeled rough draft floor plan to receive one point)
Creativity/Labeled	Excellent Was extremely creative and presented with originality; used a unique approach that truly enhanced the project.	Good Was creative; fairly thoughtful and uniquely presented.	Fair Presented with little originality or creativity. Student did not use a unique approach to enhance the project.	Poor Extremely basic floor plan. No creative energy used during this project.
Client Written and scale	Excellent The client easily works within the building plans. Scale is evident throughout the building The use of space was thought out throughout the model. Elements of light and movement are present.	Good The client is created to scale and works in the space. Most of the time details understood. i.e enough space	Fair Client works in most of the model spaces. Some use of scale is evident. Very little thought on how the space would be used as a feature in the building.	Poor Client is not created to the scale of the model. The use of space isn't consistent with the scale picked by the students. Space isn't considered in the model as an important feature.
