Interviews and script	Minimal Missing four or more of the components in the interview AND/OR Did not follow interview and script directions.	Basic Missing two to three of the following requirements: 1. Character inferential and evaluative questions for the interview. 2. Typed script for each character that includes questions and answers. 3. Answer's to questions based on character's actions thoughts and feeling based on the book. 4. Videotaped interview with each student playing a character, or presented interview live to class. 5. Dress as the character during the videotaped interview	Proficient Missing one of the following requirements: 1. Character inferential and evaluative questions for the interview. 2. Dress as the character during the interview	Masterful All of interviews meet the two paragraph requirement along with the following other requirements: 1. Character inferential and evaluative questions for the interview. 2. Typed script for each character that includes questions and answers. 3. Dress as the character during the interview.
Knowledge Gained	Minimal Students cannot accurately answer questions about the battle.	Basic Students can accurately answer a few questions about the about the battle.	Proficient Students can accurately answer a few questions about the battle and can tell how this interview relates to the material being studied in class.	Masterful Students can accurately answer several questions about the battle and can tell how this interview relates to the material being studied in class.
Time Management	Minimal Students wasted class time on daily basis and did not present assignment on due date.	Basic Students did not use class time effectively and/or did not present assignment by due date.	Proficient Students used class time effectively, but did not present assignment ready by due date.	Masterful Students used class time effectively and presented assignment on due date.
