Scientific Method Info	Exceeds Student answers the following steps of the scientific method completely and accurately: Question, hypothesis, materials, procedures, variables, data table.	Meets Student answers each step of the scientific method fairly well and accurately.	Developing Students partially answers each step of the scientific method, with some inaccurate details.	Unacceptable Required work is incomplete and inaccurate.	Assistance Needed Random words.
Graph & Written Explanation	Exceeds Graph relates to project, represents data correctly, and is labeled properly. Written explanation describes qualitative and quantitative data.	Meets The student has a graph but one or two elements are missing/ incorrect. Written explanation only describes one type of data.	Developing The student has a graph but 3 or more elements are missing/ incorrect. Written explanation about the graph is unclear.	Unacceptable Only the x and y axis are present. No data displayed. Written explanation barely attempted.	Assistance Needed Random, scribbled, drawings and explanation.
Conclusion	Exceeds Conclusion clearly states whether data supports the hypothesis and knowledge gained. Conclusion written as a paragraph in 5-7 sentences.	Meets Conclusions are present and complete, knowledge gained is present, but not clear and less than a paragraph.	Developing Missing some parts of conclusion or knowledge gained. Conclusion is merely a sentence or two.	Unacceptable Missing conclusion completely, or it is inaccurate. .	Assistance Needed Random/scribbled words
