	Mastery 4 pts	Approaching 3 pts	Basic 2 pts	Basic 1 pts
Line Tracing	Mastery Student can write the beginning letter without tracing.	Approaching Student can trace the beginning letter without help.	Basic Student can trace the beginning letter with little help.	Basic Student does not attempt to trace the beginning letter.
Participation	Mastery 4pts for completing the handout with help.	Approaching 3 pts for completing the handout with help.	Basic 2 pts for completing the handout with help.	Basic 1 pt for not completing the handout.
