This summative assessment is designed for PYP4 and PYP5 students to explore and evaluate their values, cultural practices, dances, celebrations, and beliefs. The assessment encourages students to engage with their parents as primary sources of information.

Exceeds the Standards

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner. The presentation was sturdy and neatly constructed.

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this presentation. The summative assessment was fairly sturdy and neatly constructed.

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.

Work is done with little effort, and the quality is not what the learner is capable of. Student did not devote enough time to work on the project.

The background information document is clear and logical and contains facts as well as very few mistakes. It makes it a good and clear presentation.
Partially Meets the Standards

The background information document has some style but does not have enough creativity. The document has few neatness and clarity.

The background information document lack style, creativity and organization.The document is confusing, lack neatness and clarity.
Poor

The background information document lacks a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors.
Presentation

Exceeds the Standards

The student spoke clearly and presented their information with complete understanding of content. It is evident that the student had prepared what they will say.
Meets the Standards

The student spoke clearly and presented a good amount of information about their identity as expected.
Partially Meets the Standards

There are some confusing moments during the presentation and the information are relayed during the presentation, but the student had not practiced preparing their presentation.

There are several confusing moments during the presentation and the information were not completely relayed during the presentation. The student had not practiced preparing their presentation.

Student has not connected their presentation to the current unit.
