Feelings Rubric
	Needs Work 1 pts	Emerging 2 pts	Proficient 3 pts
Able to current identify feelings	Needs Work Student can identify only their most basic feelings such as mad, sad, happy, frustrated, calm.	Emerging Student is able to identify 3 more complex feelings such as disappointed, lonely, confused, satisfied, joy.	Proficient Student is able to identify a large variety of at least 10 more complex feelings
Able to pair feelings with situation	Needs Work Student can pair fewer than 4 feelings with accuracy to relevant situations.	Emerging Student can pair fewer than 8 feelings with accuracy to relevant situations	Proficient Student can pair more than 10 feelings with accuracy to relevant situations.
Will define a specific feeling	Needs Work Student gives no response or is unrelated to concept. Student can only define basic feelings.	Emerging Student gives words related to specific feeling (e.g. kind, nice, shares, etc.) to 3 more complex feelings.	Proficient Student gives a sound definition or an example of specific emotion for 10 or more feelings.
