Acrostic Poems Acrostic Poems The acrostic poem will be graded on creativity, spelling, and completion. Students were to create an acrostic poem for the key term on project handout. Capitalization	Fair Three or more letters not capitalized in the topic going vertically down the page.	Good Two letters not capitalized in the topic going vertically down the page.	Excellent All capital letters in the topic going vertically down the page.
Focus on topic	Fair Each line of poem except three or more lines, began with the letter on that line.	Good Each line of poem except two lines, began with the letter on that line and described the person.	Excellent Each line of poem began with the letter on that line and pertained to described the person. The first letter appeared larger than the rest of the words on the line and was bolded
Creativity and Effort	Fair Student has shown zero effort and creativity in writing the acrostic poem. (single words only and drawings only.
